Generous Journeys/Travesías Generosas
Marjorie Agosin
Illustrations by Emma Sepulveda
Fifteen poems in English and Spanish by Chilean poet Marjorie Agosin. Sensitive, strong and evocative, the poems in the poet's words are, "... meant to celebrate the natural riches of the New World which were given back to the Old World ... " They were inspired by the anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the New World.
"Agosin's material is exquisitely sensuous, for example the descriptions of Latin American vegetation in Generous Journeys ... her work maintains an element of exuberance and joy ... a real celebration of life ..."AMICAS.
